Stay Faithful

Sometimes on our journey of faith, all that is to be said is that we stay faithful. Those simple things we’re called to do and to keep on doing, those are the things we should do and keep on doing.

We’ve got to pray. Keep our hearts centred on the Lord. We ought to keep our minds focused on the things that are above as the Bible says, where Christ is seated. We’ve got to seek the Lord always in His word, in prayer and in fellowship with other faithful followers of Jesus Christ. We’ve got to be worshippers in spirit and in truth of God Almighty, remembering that to Him alone is all the glory.

We’ve got to be faithful in loving our brothers and sisters in Christ, and be faithful in doing good to all people. We’ve got to pray for one another and we’ve got to pray for strangers. We’ve got to forgive.

Sometimes the hardest things are things that we do in our hearts and the decisions we make that no one can see except the Lord. We have to remember that He’s the judge and He’s the One who rewards righteous acts. We have to remember that our reward is great in heaven, and keep our minds where our true treasure is. Being with God without any roadblocks whatsoever is the best thing. This is our hope. We have to keep wanting that no matter what.

It’s sometimes so easy to get off track. It’s easy to get lazy and allow others dictate our walk with the Lord. It’s easy to not do the hard work of getting to know God for ourselves, but feeding on someone else’s leftovers.

We need help to stay faithful. We need the Lord’s help always. We need the help of other faithful Christians. And we can seek all the help we need.

“If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.” (Colossians 3: 1-4 KJV)

I pray for you dear follower of Christ Jesus that the Lord Himself will cause you to be faithful and to remain in Him that you may bear much fruit. In Jesus Name. Amen.
